Zayyan displayed leadership skills by recruiting and training a team for the annual Junior Achievement Stock Day Competition . His four-person team, “The Financiers,” received a principal amount of $500,000 to invest into fictional stocks. Zayyan served as auditor, organized, and made notes on trading decisions and news events that would impact stock prices. He also found traders on the floor to execute the trades. In the end, Zayyan and his group placed in the top 5 with a final portfolio value of $620,000.

Zayyan completed this summer internship under Dr. Aliniazee at Northwest Suburban College near Chicago, Illinois. There, he managed financial documents and reports such as balance sheets, debits and credits, and documented changes such as purchases, payments, and accounts receivable.

During the summers of 2023 and 2024, Zayyan interned at Brilliance Tutoring Academy. During both summers, he tutored multiple special needs students. He covered topics such as multiplication, division, adding fractions, and long division. Zayyan would host these tutoring sessions 5 days per week for two hours.
